Coming soon to App Store

Intentional sessions for the apps
you can't quit.

DMOnly locks Instagram, TikTok, and the apps that hijack your day. Open a 15-minute window when you really need them. They auto-lock when time's up.

Default off. By design.

Three principles that make DMOnly different.

🔒

Locked by default

Your social apps stay locked until you actively choose to use them. No more reflexive tapping the Instagram icon.

⏱️

15-minute windows

Each session is exactly 15 minutes. The apps auto-lock when time's up — no willpower required.

🛡️

Private by design

All data stays on your device. No accounts. No servers. No analytics. We can't see your apps or your usage.

How it works

Three taps. That's the whole product.

1

Pick your apps

Choose the apps you want to manage. Instagram, TikTok, X, Snapchat, WhatsApp, YouTube, Reddit — anything.

2

Open a window

When you need to check something, tap "Open Window" in DMOnly. Your apps unlock for 15 minutes.

3

Auto-lock

Window expires, apps lock again. No friction, no guilt. Come back when you need another window.

FAQ

How does DMOnly lock my apps?

DMOnly uses Apple's official Screen Time API (Family Controls). The lock is a system-level shield managed by iOS — not by DMOnly directly. You can't bypass it without authenticating with Screen Time, even if you delete DMOnly.

Can I escape a 15-minute window early?

No. That's intentional. The auto-lock guarantees you walk away when time's up, even if you don't want to. Willpower is the unreliable part — the timer isn't.

What data do you collect?

None. All state (which apps you've selected, today's usage count, subscription status) is stored locally on your device using Apple's App Group storage. There is no backend, no analytics, no third-party trackers.

Why only 15 minutes? Can it be 5 minutes?

Apple's DeviceActivity API enforces a 15-minute minimum on scheduled unlock windows. We tested shorter intervals — they're rejected by iOS. 15 minutes is the floor.

Is this parental control?

No. DMOnly is built for adults who want to manage their own habits. We don't support remote management, monitoring, or any third-party access.
